Research Paper?

Okay, I'm writing a history research paper. I'm using Microsoft Works to write it. I need to figure out to put a header on it. Where you put the title of the subject your researching and then the page number. Does anyone know what i'm trying to do? If you do, Please help?

Reply:why not use MS Word? For a research paper, it would be worth it cause you'll have a heck of a time figuring out Works
Reply:To input a header or footer go to view which is located at the top of the microsoft word window: it's file, edit, then view. Then you are going to scroll down and you will see header and footer, click on it and you will see a box appear at the top and bottom of each page . You can type the title in the top box and that causes it to go on each page. To add page numbers there is a gray box that pops up and it has a few symbols on it, and one is the number symbol (#). Click the box at the bottom of the page, the footer, and then click the number symbol(#) and it will automatically number each page. Remeber any help you need you can go to the help section and it will really help you with anything. This should be your alternative so you won't waste points

Near the bottom there is an option- Header and Footer





if you have a new works then there will be options fo rdate, time, page number etc.





i have works too. annoying for schoolwork. Atr school they use word so it is annoying.

Reply:you go to view then click on header %26amp; footer, that will bring it up then u can type ur heading

In Works its pretty easy, just click on view, then headers and footers. It will change the view on the page then just type in what you want in the header box. You can tab over two times. Type your title on the left margin then hit tab twice and it will put page number or whatever on the right side. (use the insert function)
