Research Paper?

I need to write a 1500 word research paper about something "controversial' in the genetic sciences. Any Suggestions?

Research Paper?
How about whether or not DNA better supports intelligent design or evolution? Which one better supports the existence of DNA?
Reply:Stem cell research
Reply:Have a look on this website: http://www.coursework4you.co.uk/
Reply:Abortion? is that genetic science?
Reply:Writing of the controversy of stem cell research sounds good, but it can quickly turn into a religious debate and that will not be a fun paper to write. Instead, consider writing about genetic engineering (GE). It has been around for quite some time, yet people know very little of about it. The controversy is whether GE is a blessing or a curse. On one side, GE has lead to "Golden Rice" that has saved the eyesight of many poor people in Asia. On the other hand, GE has caused crops to become less diverse and, therefore, susceptible to specific diseases. GE may be thought of as a large corporate conspiracy. Companies such as Monsanto, sell GE crops to farmers with the promise of a higher yield. However, a crop that resists one bug just leaves the door open to another. And, who is there to supply the pesticides...the same companies who genetically engineered the crops in the first place. Oh and by the way, farmers are not allowed to keep seeds from a harvest to plant the following year. Although farmers have practiced this forever, GE crops are patented, so farmers have to buy new seed every year. Aside from charging farmers though the nose for seed and pesticides, the crops can also be dangerous. Finally, with GE, there is no going back. As pollen spreads, other non-GE crops will become hybrids.

For research, look up StarLink corn. Many people were allergic to this corn and it was recalled many years ago. Also, look up the book Silent Spring, it is a story of the possible consequences of altering our ecosystem. It's an old book, and it's just an account of what could happen, so remember it's not proof of anything. Lastly, surf over to greenpeace.org. They're a bit biased on the dangers, but they can lead you to good, current resources.

Okie dokie, have fun.
