Who should i write a research paper about?

I'm taking music appreciation, and I can't decide who to write my research paper on. I have to have five verifiable sources of information and I have to write at least five pages. Here are my instructions:

•You may select as your topic any composer, instrument builder/inventor or performers as long as you include their impact and influences on music as history.

I have thought of a few, but I'm having trouble deciding.

Can anybody help?

Thanks!

Who should i write a research paper about?
How about Stradivarius as he has influenced not only music but his violins have also been a great asset financially.

Theres plenty of information on him, his violins, his life and his techniques.

Best of Luck!!!
Reply:I wrote one on Jim Morrison of The Doors.

Lots of info out there, easy to research and I received an A in second year college English.
Reply:I'd do Elvis.
Reply:Do something adventurous and interesting, like Grand Master Flash and Furious Five; they had a great impact and influence on music the world over through the advent of Hip Hop/Rap.

Wikipedia.com is a source

Rolling Stone Magazine also.

Do what you feel. Good luck.
Reply:well Jonothan Larsen, who created Rent, umm Mozart, Bach..........The beatles, my #1 would deff be JONOTHAN LARSEN!
Reply:I say Mozart or Lionel Richie, or that guy who created jazz music
Reply:I love classical music, so I would think a paper on Frederic Chopin would be very interesting. He was pivotal in the transition to the Romantic era of music. His life was quite exciting, you could cover his travels from Poland to France and his homesickness; and his relationship with Georges Sand. Chopin revolutionized the piano. From the 19th century to today, Chopin influenced the music of countless composers, among them Scriabin and Rachmaninov. No man has ever composed so passionately and intensely for any instrument, as Chopin did.
