What would a good thesis be for my research paper?

I'm doing a research paper on the Jacobite Rebellions and Bonnie Prince Charlie. What would a good thesis be? It can only be one sentence and it has to get me 8 pages. Thanks in advance for any help.

While Charlie went to the safety of France, the scots clans-men had to suffer at the hands of the rich English lords an most of all the crofters had to suffer but did it eventually lead to the Scots patriotism that has given Scotland it's own parliament


You could look up the fairly recent change whereby Scotland has it's OWN parliament and email scots politicians about their patriotism and if they believe it may have begun at the time of the Jacobites.

Did the fact of Scottish patriotism lead to the large number of Scots migrating to America
