Whats a great topic to write on a research paper, on a college level?

Ok Im in college and we have a 5 page research paper due, which isn't bad. Its the topic choice, I've started global warming but with such a broad topic I wanted to write something I knew I could narrow into 5 pages max. So doing some research I planned to write about Amelia Earhart.

Whats a great topic to write on a research paper, on a college level?
You could stick w/ global warming but limit the focus to the pros %26amp; cons of hyrbrid cars.

Reply:I wrote a paper in high school about subliminal advertising. It was a really interesting topic to read up on and there was plenty of info out there (I think mine was close to 10 pages...) And if you really had to/wanted to you could even conduct your own experiment in the field...it's not that hard to do!
