How did the composers of the 17th & 18th centuries influence music today? (For 5 page research paper, thanks!)

I talked about were George Fredrick Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig Van Beethoven. Now I need to explain how they actually influenced today's music. It's a five page research paper, and I need 2 1/2 more pages at least. Any help would be great. Even if it's just a link to a website that could help. That would be the best, thank you.

I think the problem is people don't want to do the homework for you.

It all has been a progression from then until now. It is hard to say "How did the composers of the 17th %26amp; 18th centuries influence music today" because without it, there would be no music today, or at least it would be nothing like it is.

Largest influence I will give you: The 12 tone scale. Look at all of the other cultures of the world (We are singling out "Western" culture) have scales of varying pitch structures, but generally, nothing like ours.

Music from that period influenced the Melody, Harmony, Scale structure, Rhythm etc. Anything you can say about music today, comes from the past.

Nothing against your teacher here, but it would be hard to do this paper. There are too many links.

If it were my paper, I would expose the progression of classical music from its beginning until now, and show how it has been one big influence after another.

But maybe I am over thinking this one...
Reply:They are the only musicians in history woth a thing.
