Research paper topic that deals with Renaissance era?

I've gotta write a research paper on something about the era in which Shakespeare lived.





I wanted to about how Renaissance society influenced Shakespeare and his writing, but I did some preliminary research and couldn't find much. People in my class are writing about the clothing of the Renaissance era, so I don't want to do that.





The paper is more like a mini research paper, only about 2-3 pages. Can you throw me some ideas?
