I am going to be writing a research paper for my english class and it has to be on a debatable issue that we pick a side to. Any ideas would be very greatly appriciated. Also she has already said no to the topics of abortion and capital punishment! Thanks!

When I was in college, it did one on whether Marilyn Monroe was murdered or committed suicide - there's a lot of material out there on this subject.
Reply:against animal rights.
such as testing products on animals.
there are many things you can talk about and debate.
Reply:The reason she says no to those topics is because you will generally not be able to convince anyone to change their minds. Pick a topic that has more than one side but also has people on the fence in the middle.

Reply:Stem cell research. It's rarely discussed but a topic that has moral and political consequences both obvious and obscure.
