I'm doing a research paper. Because none of the ideas are mine do I internally cite everything? if so do I do it after every sentence or paragraph? (I looked it up on the internet and I found a few things but a couple different websites contradicted one another so I'm not sure what's reliable)

The point of a research paper is to add something original into the debate or topic of interest, not just simply pasting facts onto a piece of paper. However, if the ideas or facts aren't generally known to the majority of people or have been reference from books, Internet sources, etc., you DO need to cite each sentence. The best way to reduce the amount of citations you need is to try and link sentences that are from the same source together, thus making your paper look a bit more organized.

Have fun!
