Shakira is AMAZING, and a great choice for a research paper. Check out her biographies on Shakira.com, Shakiramedia.com, etc. The Wikipedia one is pretty reliable too.
Some facts to get you started:
• She signed her first record contract at age 13
• She supposedly has an IQ of 140
• She speaks at least 3 languages (some sources say 5)
• She is a humanitarian -- a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, and she has her own charity foundation that builds schools in Colombia.
• She writes (or co-writes) all of her own songs, and nowadays she is producing her own records.
• Despite her obvious sex appeal, she has never posed nude for a magazine or even had a scandalous story about her in the tabloids.
