What can I do for a research paper regarding plants?

I am in the sixth grade and I am doing a research paper and project for a science fair. I need to use plants and only have two weeks. Please Help.

What can I do for a research paper regarding plants?
Do a report on photosynthesis
Reply:You can have some demo of plant samples showing:

- affinity to light - have a pot of small plant (chrysanthemum or Ocimum sanctum) easily available in the back yard and keep it near your window. In a few days you will find the branches leaning toward light and peep outside the window. You can take the pot and keep as a sample of plant behaviour in the fair (find a place near window there too, to retain the behaviour till the fair is over)

- affinity to water - Keep a small plant in a polythene bag planted toward a corner (not in the middle) of the bag, so that the root postion is visible. The root should not be longer than half the length of the bag; make a pin hole on another corner of the bag (toward the right or left of the plant position). and immerse the holed portion in water so that water enters upto an inch or so inside (not more). You will find by the evening that the roots bend toward the water layers which is visible through the bag.

- affinity to gravitation - Plant a youn plant in a poythene bag obliquely so that the root is placed slantingly (not right down toward the bottom). Water the plant and leave for the night. You will find the root bent toward the gravitational centre which is visible from outside the polythene bag.

Or, you may purchase a few flower plants propagated afresh by layer, graft and budding procedures in the garden nursery and explain the major vegetative propagation methods.

You can thus think of any number of easy demos to show plant attributes that you had studied in your lessons (As I do not know what is your botany syllabus, I had just told a few elementary demos ).
