I have to write a research paper and I don't know how... Is it like a report where I summarize or paraphrase something, or is it something more?

How do you write a research paper for science class?
I have to write a research prospectus in my class. This is like an experiment you will conduct to prove something. We state a problem to be studied. You make a hypothesis, or guess, and then attempt to prove or disprove the hypothesis. This is master's level so you may not have to do this much.





In the paper you state the problem, its significance. Then you state the independent variable, dependent variable, and any controls you use. The independent variable is not changed by anything. The dependent variable changes depending on the independent variable.





It would probably be best to ask another student in class or the teacher for help.
