Well, this is pure opinion, but a topic that I recently got interested in was the Millennial generation. This includes anyone born between 1980 and 1996. There are some amazing accusations made about our generation and I feel there is the potential to write a great research paper here.

We are entering the workforce and Baby Boomers are being pushed out. There seems to be great animosity between the two generations because we are evidently "more demanding". I would recommend watching this "60 Minutes" segment called 'The Millennials are Coming'. You can view it here: http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video/...

This is a great first impression in writing a research paper and will begin to pave a way for our generation. After watching this segment I decided to start a website called Millennial Mentors. I am a recent DePaul graduate, and I am currently in my first year of grad school. Millennial Mentors' goal is to help Millennials piece together every component of their lives---personal life, career, education---by offering advice through experience. Check it out...it could help you find your way through college and into an amazing job: http://millennialmentors.com

Reply:Well, what's something you've always wanted to know/been curious about?

Try something really different, and have fun. Your professor will be able to tell if you got into it or not.
Reply:What we had to do was pick a subject in our major or expected major. Otherwise pick something that interests you and go with it, your english prof should be able to help you narrow it down, or even your library
